Delete your account

You can delete your Ride Sync account and everything in it from inside the app, without asking anyone. It takes about ten seconds.

From the app

Open Ride Sync and tap your picture, top right of the map.
Scroll to the bottom of Profile.
Tap Delete account. You will be shown exactly what goes, and asked to confirm twice.

What gets deleted

Your rides, both on the phone and on our servers
Your saved routes, saved spots, and your home and work places
Your profile, and your membership of any group ride, which takes your notification token with it
Your account itself, so signing in again creates a brand new one rather than restoring this one

This cannot be undone. There is no recovery period and no backup we can restore from. Export any ride you want to keep before you delete, using Share or Export on the ride itself.

A group ride you are hosting is ended rather than deleted, so the riders in it are not stranded mid-ride. Rides that other people hosted stay theirs; you are simply removed from them.

If you cannot open the app

Email revrepublic24@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, asking for your account to be deleted. We will confirm once it is done. Please allow up to 30 days, though in practice it is much faster.

What we keep, and for how long

Nothing. Deletion removes your data rather than hiding it, and there is no retention window afterwards. The only exception is that anonymous, non-identifying server logs kept by our hosting provider for operational security may persist for a short period, and those contain no ride data and no location.
